As the ability to define a footer section is in Progress we also need to be able to define a Header.

I agree. Locking a header and footer in place that will duplicate on a second page is necessary. Even with only one page, locking a footer in place is critical, otherwise we spend a lot of time reformatting and reprinting letters that have slightly longer body text than others. This happens when the data in a field exceeds the length shown in the preview and wraps to another line in a paragraph.
Makes sense! Thanks for the additional info alan.mackenzie :)
We've put this into review for a future release...

I refer to the attachment attach which is an example of our Receipt Letter Head.
Replicating this or getting close to it is the key.
Anything place in a header or footer should be locked and then repeat if it goes to a second page.
Hey alan.mackenzie and jlentz ! Thanks heaps for taking the time to add feedback. Tell me more about how a header would give more functionality than simply placing layout elements at the top of the template? i.e. what am I missing?! THANKS! Stu
Agree. Having a header and footer section in the page layout would be helpful. I completed a work around by inserting jpegs but the margins made it difficult to align correctly.
