Note: As of Q4 2025, future improvements and new features for Letter Box will be added only to Letter Box within the Red Arc Platform platform and will not be ported to the stand-alone Letter Box app. To join the early access program, please email support@redarc.systems.
New Features 🆕
Red Arc Platform
Added the Red Arc Platform tile which appears on the gift page and constituent page and contains Letter Box functionality
Add an AI support agent to the platform which can answer questions on Red Arc products accessible through the "Get Help" button on the top right
Letter Box
Add a new option to the template editor where users can now re-name the PDF letter attached in emails sent through Letter Box. Previously the PDF name would be dependent on the template name. The Letter Attachment Name will now be the PDF letter name in emails, downloaded letters, and Raisers Edge attachments
Email engagement activity (Clicks, Opens, Bounces, Spam) is now tracked in Letter Box as of mid-February. Any email sent through Letter Box will have the activity tracked. Aggregated stats (entire bulk letter run) and individual stats (each constituent) can be can be viewed in the bulk letter run detail view
Raisers Edge Gift and Constituent custom fields now available to directly insert into templates through the "Personalize" button in the template editor, as well as available in "If Blocks"

Red Arc Platform
Add individual constituent & gift create letter permissions
Workflow Agents
Merge the "Intelligent Tools" and "Builder Tools" into one single section labelled "Tools"
Update the "View Trace" modal to include the existing Context Data information so there is a single unified view that shows both trace and context data
Add a tour that explains Workflow Agents when it's click on in the platform
Marketing Connector
Active Campaign unsubscribe events that originate from the API will be filtered out to prevent inadvertently syncing solicit codes/consent entries to constituents that were recently removed from the query/export
Active Campaign webhooks for the Activity Sync are now automatially created by the app during setup, no more manual process needed
Letter Box
Bulk letter runs older than 6 months, that have the status of "Failed" and that have 0 records will no longer be displayed in the interface. This reduces cluttered data, makes the app load quicker, and makes it easier to search through old bulk letters
Improved messaging in the app when errors occur in loading bulk runs
Improve bulk letter run data grid by adding a "Data Source" column with query/list icons, and converting the "Delivery" column to icon-only display with hover tooltips
Added data source to bulk letter run detail view so that it can easily be seen whether the source was a list or query
Improved personalize field sorting. State and County fields now appear alphabetically in the constituent type list instead of at the bottom
Email Settings tab now disabled for organizations without a Letter Box plan that gives them access to email sending
Added direction “Outbound” for all actions created
Updated action description to include the template name used e.g. “Template Name: Weekly Gift Acks”
Add "Payment Method" as an available field to be used in conditional templates and auto send letters criteria
Add permissions to create letters from gift/constituent tile
Change bulk letter run initiated status color from red to orange
Fixes 🔧
Red Arc Platform
Fix bug where invited users couldn't join the platform that occurred in certain cases
Workflow Agents
Fix bug with agent instructions not expanding when the workflow is initially loaded
Letter Box
Fixed bugs in the template editor that would result in issues saving the template, tables not inserting, modals not opening, etc.
De-dupe any duplicate constituent system record id or gift system record id in the query results before setting the bulk letter run to "Ready" state
Fixed issues in the bulk letter run details view
Fixed a bug that would occur in certain situations when editing an existing scheduled letter based on a list, where the data source would default to query instead
Fixing a bug in the bulk letter run create modal where the create button would be stuck in a disabled state when switching between the query and list data source
Fixed bugs that would occur in the Red Arc platform letter box detail view where editing or removing a letter would cause some of the columns in the grid to disappear, and the screen to jump back to the first page
Many other improvements and small fixes made throughout the app that resolves errors that occur, or unexpected behaviour
